Since recently mastering the art of packing for a short trip, I’ve also found the perfect sized bag that manages to fit in all my necessities.
On my last weekend getaway – this time to Berry, NSW – I packed just one bag with me for my two night stay. That bag in particular was the Avalon Travel Bag by Louenhide.
What exactly were my necessities, you might ask? Here’s a precise list of what I brought with me – no more, no less, so you can get a good idea of how much the bag fits!
- One pair of denim jeans
- One pair of tracksuit pants
- Two sweaters
- Two t-shirts
- Three sets of socks and underwear
- 13-inch MacBook Air with charger
- Aesop London Travel Kit (with a few extras added to the original assortment)
- Medium-sized make-up case
- Smartphone charger
I did also have a small camera bag with me (so you could technically say that I took two bags with me) however, its quite small (equivalent to a small handbag) and I don’t really consider it a proper bag on its own!
I was pretty impressed that I was able to fit all of the above into the bag comfortably (zipped up and all) however, I think I’d be pushing it if I was going to try and fit in anything else.
I’m definitely going to be taking this bag with me on more upcoming short stays, and potentially even as a carry-on on longer trips in the future.
